Lee Harvey Oswald, a former marine, was found guilty of the assassination of John F. Kennedy by the Warren Commission (the Warren Commission was responsible for investigating Kennedy's assassination). The Warren Commission's chairman, Earl Warren, believed that Oswald did not have any help from anybody else in his assassination of Kennedy, and that there was no bigger conspiracy going on. Oswald was captured an hour after 1:00 P.M. on November 22, 1963, when Kennedy's death was confirmed. Two days after Kennedy's assassination, Oswald was on national television as he was transferred to a different jail. Before he made it to the jail, he was shot and killed by Jack Ruby.
